This beautiful, high quality challenge coin was developed by Scion Jeff Schumacher and his wife Melinda to honor the 17th Airborne Divisions participation in the Battle of the Bulge and Operation Varsity.
The coin depicts a scene from the Battle of the Bulge on one side, and Troopers landing by Parachute and Glider on the other side.

During WWII, the 17th published a number of divisional newspapers under the title "Talon". The two most well known are "Talon in Ardennes" and "Talon Crosses the Rhine". In addition we have located 14 additional issues. We have scanned these issues, and combined them on one USB flash drive, so that they can be made available to our membership. Thanks to those who have donated these materials.

This new book was the result of research at the US National Archives. It includes over 160 photographs from a collection of the US Army Signal Corps taken in Belgium and Germany. Each photograph has the original caption by the Signal Corps photographer. Context to the photographs is provided with excerpts from the division diary.
